Okay, a few things to clear up...
I didn't forget 'bout the E3 texture contest comic. It's still here, and a winner has been chosen. Mind you, the comic will be modified since E3 has come and gone LONG AGO, but I assure you that the comic will be done.
Anime Expo 2003
Overall, my work at Anime Expo was, all in all, not terribly bad. I was worn out to the bone, though, and hardly had any free time to myself...but given the time constraints and the suddenness of the change in position, I managed. (pun intended)
Of course, I had a kick ass staff under me that helped out A LOT, so to them I give my utmost thanks and appreciation to them!
Let me just take this time to mention how poorly constructed the Anaheim Convention Center is. I mean, seriously...it's it's own fucken country!! To reach the second floor itself is a trip, either by escalator or elevator. And with half their elevators suddenly out of commission, their 1-2 long-ass escalators were the only option! (And man, if you have a phobia of heights, don't even THINK about running down these bad-boys...it's "Bart-Simpson-going-to-heaven-but-when-to-hell-cuz-he-spit-over-the-escalator" long...@_@) Not a moment passed where I wanted to shoot the architect that built this massive waste of space! I mean, the 3rd floor is accessed ONLY BY TAKING TWO LONG ESCALATORS, and there was only ONE set that led you to the second set of escalators. If I go next year, I'll be bringing sticks of dynamite and bringing that sucker down.
Well, after this ordeal, I'm given the option to manage again next year...to which I'm not too sure currently. I'll find out the answer to that in due time...
Things are looking up...
Oh, and did I neglect to mention that I had a take-home midterm during my Anime Expo work?? Yes, nothing like working hard for 5 days straight, and only having 1.5 days left to finish it up and fax it to the professor before midnight. I ended up getting an 86/100, which REALLY surprised me.
But...now that AX is over and one midterm is done, I'm finally getting some relief and have started to de-stress my life. Trying to get back into the groove of things and recently went back to my AC life. It's not easy to pull a ton of weeds around, doing chores for stationary again, and taking pics to further my comic career. But I'm stockloading up, and I'll storehouse a TON of new comics, so it'll be ready for release when I start the comics up and running!
How badly do you want Animal Droppings?
Until recently, I didn't figure my audience to be no more than 5 people at max. However, recent stats and searching have brought to my attention that there may be more people out there that DO read my comics AND enjoy them. For those that do, I'd like you guys to step out of the shadows and let me know who you are! I don't really need names, but express your thoughts, comments, and encouragement through my forums, or just e-mail me...anything to let me know that you appreciate what I love to do. I mean, I found out that one person made a positive reference to me on their home page, albeit WAY back in March of this year. Any comments, good or bad, are welcome!
